Christine Hutter (CEO of Grossmann Uhren GmbH): "Many of our customers have already been waiting for the new watch, another innovation from our company - now it's time. However, if you have a sports watch or even a diving watch, we must disappoint. Outwardly, we remain loyal to our credo - we wanted a watch that is reduced in the formal language and simple yet elegant. Because we do not want to distract from the essential. The newly developed caliber 102.0 is more linear, smaller and flatter. For us, it is an important step that opens up new perspectives for future developments. "
The name TEFNUT comes from ancient Egyptian mythology. TEFNUT is an ancient Egyptian goddess. First emerged from the original creator deity Atum, Tefnut symbolizes the temperament of the fire and the subtle elegance of the Nubian cat.
TEFNUT
The TEFNUT model is a men's watch, dedicated to the reduced form-language and straightforward development. Even their appearance leaves no doubt that watchmaking class is also a question of appearance. Fine cambered gold indices, sublime numerals on the "6" and the "12", two hand-crafted pointers specially designed for this line and a sleek, golden case provide for a confident look.
A completely new thought-out mechanical heart of similarly simple elegance is bathed under the apex of the envelope. The flat clockwork contains all typical features of Grossmann and yet it is completely unique in its linear symmetrical design. This is already clear when looking at the modified section of the 3/5 board.
THE HOUSING
The case of the TEFNUT is made of noble rose or white gold. Due to the flat construction of the watch movement, a new, slim silhouette could be implemented for the case as well. The watch wrist gently to the wrist. A crown crowned with cross-grooves, four narrow-ejected thrust horns and a band of hand-sewn alligator leather complete the picture of simple elegance. Slightly domed, unilateral sapphire glass is seamlessly integrated into the harmoniously reduced exterior of the TEFNUT and bounds it on both sides. It protects the delicate components and ensures a clear view, so that the individual details of the watch come to a whole.
THE DIAL
Simple elegance meets elaborate innovation - this philosophy is also reflected in the clearly structured, second-grade dial made of solid silver and its interplay with the hands specially developed for this line. The display combines modern shape and classic design: Plain, finely cambered indices of gold line the argenté or anthracite dial, but are interrupted at the "6" and the "12" in a striking manner by two clear Arabic numbers.
The lower part of the needle stripes decorate the inner part of the anthracite dial. They give the watch a subtle dynamic.
THE POINTS
The hands of the TEFNUT impress with their simple form and refinement. They are made by hand from steel or stainless steel in several working steps. A nodus, tapered towards the pointer's eye, and finely spiked in the tip, characterizes this form specially developed for TEFNUT. It ensures that time can always be precisely determined.
